In the context of a fundamentally revamped system of higher education aiming at transforming India into a global knowledge superpower, the HEIs can offer significant contribution through innovative and translational research towards realization of the avowed goals. Swahid Peoli Phukan College has founded a Research and Development Cell to build and nourish a research echo-system in a well-orchestrated manner. Still at nascent stage, the Cell is expected to evolve as a remarkable forum capable of offering outstanding contribution in the field of research. 

The excellence and achievements of an HEI can be measured in terms of the degree of quality research accomplished by it. Since its inception, the Research and Development Cell, S.P.P. College has been collectively striving towards building a strong and vibrant research culture among the faculty and students of the institution. From motivation, orientation and capacity building till utilization of research outcome, the cell provides support to the aspiring researchers in each phase of the research cycle by optimally exploring the available and attainable resources. Various units of the Cell put a concerted effort to explore the newly emerging scopes, opportunities, trends and resources to enhance and update research endeavours.
